• 60,000 (approximate) local governments in USA
• counties, cities, school districts, fire districts, sewer districts, ...
  • AND many have: Public Works (Engineering), Planning (land use control), Utilities (water, sewer, electricity, garbage collection, etc.), Emergency Services (fire, police, etc.)

This is where the money gets spent on local issues that depend on knowing what is out in the field.
